@Hu Wang: I also noticed this situation. It always show I connected to GSM network. However, my blackberry works with China Mobile SIM card. So I didn't noticed it a problem. Sorry for can't helping you.

I unlocked my phone using your approach. However, I put T-Mobile SIM card, it searched GSM network but could not find it (no service). Whe I use my T-Mobile phone, the SIM card works. Do you have any suggestion about how to connect the Blackberry 8830 World Edition to GSM network in US? Thanks

Hope you can read English.

I have a Blackberry 8830 world edition from Verizon in US. I tried to unlock it using your approach. During Step 4 (using MML), An error message said “NV library failed to load NV file, Cannot find NVD-00001-001 locally…” and the phone “fail” to unlock. Can you tell me how to find “NVD-00001-001″ or can you help find this file and send to me? Many thanks.
